I think maybe post-Zexal Trey and Yuma would start dating mayhaps… now that Astrals not around Yuma needs someone to spend his time with and that’s trey!

I think them getting accustomed to domestic life is cute too… cooking for eachother and treating eachother when they get sick. Treys never really felt loved like this because for most of her life she was just trying to get revenge against the evil homophobic muskrat but now she Yuma, she’s sure it’ll all be okay!!!

I suppose I want to t a l k, so we will go into the worst question possible; what do I think of popular Zexal ships?

If you want to know my opinion but I haven't included something, please ask me!

Keyshipping: it certainly used to be my favorite, as puzzleshipping girl, but the problem with this is, that aside for Sagrasso, neither Yuma or Astral are bickering with each other, actually arguing, they get big moments, but at the cost of their little ones and I find it very sad. Always soulmates, but leaning rather in no romance section. They're lowkey a reason why I got hooked on Zexal lol so sometimes I need to think about them

Sharkbaitshipping: it got amazing fanfiction and doujinshi, I'm truly in awe. That being said, without them, I wasn't that much into their canon relationship. I don't mind it, but it has been a while since I thought about it actively.

Foilshipping: um. You know. I'm kinda very foilshipping girl. Yuma and Vector got everything in there, c'mon! Very toxic yaoi, d e d i c a t i o n, angst, self sacrificing, 'I'll believe each word you say and do everything for you', I can't help but adore it.

Dokidokishipping: another of my personal favorites. Kaito's dedication to Yuma and actually dying for him is very important to me and I'm actually sad it's not more popular *sniffles*.

Hellsharkshipping: good! There is a lot going on, I love fanfictions for it, even if I don't rotate it in my head too much.

Stolenshipping: it's been a good while since i thought about them, but, you know, Yuma has two hands and Kaito and Shark should be busy with being his protector. Yuma always sleeps in the middle, no, I'm not listening to anything else.

Galaxymastershipping: There is a chance I could have liked it, if not for the fact, in terms of Kaito, I only see him with Yuma or crack options. Mizael doesn't cut it for me. I don't see it.

Dilateshipping: I'm not actually sure if it's a good name for them, but, um, Kaito x V. Big no. Even aside from my dokidoki feelings, they together have a divorced couple vibe which is something I've never been fond of and usually I avoid these like fire. Same case here.

Seraphshipping: I like it, but nothing more.

Aztecshipping: I'm very sorry, not my cup of tea.

Why I like them/why I don’t

The Beloved!!!! I really like how she’s such a kind and loyal person to anyone he loves, especially family! Despite that you can really see how he’s apart of the Arclight family, the sassiness and disrespect she can have (that one moment in her duel against Mizar maskjakdkdjdjd)

What I like about their appearance

Overall I really like the pinkness and fluffiness! I also like how fancy her outfit is, makes him look all princely/knightly :)

(kinda related I notice that the show likes to put huge focus on Trey’s eyes, especially in his big moments)

Do I prefer their dub names or original names?

I really like both! I’m pretty sure her original name is also canon to the dub? So I like to think Micheal is his name, III a code name, and Trey as a nickname

I’m so normal about Aztecshipping :) the loyalness and care both Yuma and Trey have for one another, the protector x protectee dynamic, the influence Yuma has on Trey, the matching color scheme, how their decks can work so well together (tag duel my beloved), Trey being a literal knight to Yuma, how they could’ve been friends earlier if it wasn’t for certain story events, I like em a normal amount :D

Anyways back on track, they did his return JUSTICE, coming in immediately after Yuma tells Heartland that his beliefs are the same, throwing a fucking SWORD, A WHOLE ASS SWORD, DIRECTLY TO HEARTLAND’S HEAD, declaring that he will stick to Yuma’s side from now on, Yuma trusting her and giving him his number cards back, gah such a good scene

THE ENTIRE TAG DUEL IS SOOOO GOOD TOO, MY FAVORITE OUT OF ALL THE ZEXAL TRIO/ARCLIGHTS TAG DUELS

Listen I know why he did it, but the whole scene where she tells Yuma to piss off during the beginning of the Barian war

Project diva F came out around the zexal time so I like to think post zexal Yuma gets the game and gets Trey to play it with him, unfortunately Trey is kinda bad at rhymn games :(

Before they got together, Trey ask Quattro advice on how to flirt and what pickup lines to use, Quattro gives him the shittest advice AND pickup lines ever, so now whenever Trey tries to use said pick up lines on Yuma anyone around them cringes hard
